Security measures for Jamaica 50 celebrations

The police are to implement additional security measures in preparation for Jamaica 50 celebrations which will intensify starting this weekend.
Commissioner of  Police, Owen Ellington, says there will be increased deployments to ensure a visible police presence at all events.
The Headquarters Command Centre will monitor deployments and provide decisive responses to any major incident which may occur.
A calendar of  the main Jamaica 50 events is published in this week's Force Orders and Commissioner Ellington has advised all members to be acquainted with the schedules.
The Commissioner says the police have a crucial role in ensuring that Jamaica 50 activities are incident free.
