New exec director of JADCO to be named
RJR can report that a new executive director of the Jamaica anti-doping agency, JADCO, should be named in the coming days.
This after the contract of acting executive director Florette Blackwood ended on may 31.
Impeccable RJR sources have revealed that Blackwood, who was appointed to act in the post in November 2011 after Dr. Patrece Charles-Freeman resigned, is among a short list of applicants.
Our highly placed sources further disclosed that a three member technical and policy committee appointed by the dr. herb elliott chaired-JADCO board, has been carrying out the interviews after the post was advertised weeks ago.
It is further understood that JADCO chairman, Dr. Elliott is overseeing the day to day running of the national anti-doping committee until the new executive director is appointed.
