A St. Catherine family is now in mourning, following the gruesome discovery of the body of Shanice Hazel, the 16-year-old who went missing last week.  Shanice, who lived in the Hampton Green community in Spanish Town, was found dead in bushes near her home, on Tuesday.
Her throat was slashed.  It's reported that last Tuesday, the teen reportedly went to visit a friend in a nearby housing scheme.  When she failed to return home, a search was launched, and a report  made to the Spanish Town Police. 
The police are now searching for clues to the person or persons responsible for her murder.
