Jamaica’s Equestrian, Samantha Albert in 21st position after 23 riders
Jamaica's 41-year-old Samantha Albert is currently in 21st position after 23-riders on day one of the dressage Saturday. This in the individual equestrian eventing competition at Greenwich Park at the London Olympic Games.
Albert picked up 67.20 penalty points astride her grey horse "Carray Dube."
The dressage is scored based on the horse's obedience, the connection between the horse and rider and how the horse executes the instructions of the rider inside a controlled area.
Seventy-four riders are down to compete with 37 competing on Saturday's first day of the dressage.
The competition is being led by Germany's 34-year-old Dirk Scrade with 39.80 penalty points in a competition where there have been several lead changes.
Albert will next compete in the cross country on Monday and the show jumping on Tuesday in a competition known as a horse's triathlon.
