 Dr. Simeon Daniel  who served as the first Premier of Nevis (1983 – 1992) is dead.
Dr. Daniel was among the Federation’s Founding Fathers  as well as a founding  members of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) in 1970.
He was the architect of the clause in the Constitution that allows independence for Nevis.
He  also established the Bank of Nevis Ltd. in 1985.
