A 20-year-old bar owner is to face the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday, for breaching the Spirit License Act.
Juven Thompson of Top Hill, St Elizabeth, who operates a tavern, was prosecuted on July 21, for opening beyond the prescribed hours.
According to reports, about 5am, members of the St. Elizabeth Island Special Constabulary Force were on an operation in Top Hill, when they saw the bar open.
Upon requesting a licence, the police discovered that the establishment should have been closed from 11:00pm.
Mr. Thompson, who was behind the counter at the time, was informed of the breach, and warned for prosecution.
